How Important it is to Workout
How Important it is to Workout
I know we always hear our doctors tell us to make sure we get at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily, but how important is it really? Today we will be getting into the benefits of working out and why we should add it into our routines.
So, I have been working out on and off for the last 12 years, however, I did not begin taking it seriously until around a year ago. During this year, I have learned so much about exercising and my body as well. When I first started working out a year ago, I just knew that I needed to get movement in daily so that I do not grow old and have a bad heart. But, the more I dived into fitness, I realized cardiovascular health was only one of the many few benefits of exercising.
When I started working out, I just wanted to be healthier for the sake of growing to be an old and healthy woman. But, as I started working out, I realized that I had more energy, I dealt with less stress, and my brain fog was beginning to disappear. Working out also allowed me to have a better relationship with food. If I wanted to see results, I had to eat the right foods, the necessary calories, and be patient. As time passed by, I found that I naturally eat enough but also am kind to myself when I do not reach my goal. I just allow myself to have fun working out. It is a hobby, not a job.
Even if you have a busy schedule, I am sure there is somewhere in your schedule that you can give up time to work out. Whether that be the time you spend unnecessarily watching reality tv or scrolling through social media. You can even do both at the same time if you are not willing to give up screen time. But, working out could require you to stay up later or wake up earlier than you are used to. It takes discipline and giving up some things, but it is cheaper than hospital bills for numerous exams and surgeries! You can exercise from the comfort of your house, neighborhood, or nearest gym.
It is worth it!
Did you get in at least 30 minutes of physical activity? If so, what did you do? If not, how can you squeeze physical activity into your day-to-day life?
