 Inner Child Healing

Welcome or Welcome back to Amaya's Adventures! Today we will be discussing healing the inner child. We all have one, so it is important to recognize if yours is wounded and how to heal that. I will be talking about what the inner child is and the steps to heal yours!

As stated prior, we all have an inner child. Once we were conceived, our inner child took form. Even if we can not see him or her. Our inner takes control especially when we are in situations where we feel unsafe. The wounded inner child, at least. These situations often remind us of our unstable environment during childhood. Whether that had been our parents, teachers, our family, etc. When our inner child is triggered, we tend to act almost child-like or sometimes like our parents. But, our inner child can also pop out in joyful situations i.e eating our favorite childhood meal, or watching childhood tv shows. 

Steps you can take to heal your inner child: 
1) Shadow work
2) Acknowledge your inner child is wounded
3) Listen to your inner child when you are triggered
4) Write a letter to them
5) Therapy with a professional
6) Meditation
7) Do things you loved as a child
