 The Importance of Practicing Self Care

Welcome or welcome back to Amaya's Adventures! Today we will be talking about a very popular topic, SELF CARE. It is very important to incorporate self-care into your life daily. Yes, daily! Even if it is only 10 minutes. I will be listing the benefits of daily self-care and ways we can incorporate it into our lives. 




    We need to be doing self-care every day if we plan to live healthy, long-lasting lives. Even if you do not plan on that, you still need to take care of yourself every day. Self-care improves your health in all aspects, not just physical. I.e improves mental health, reduces stress, and allows you to do something for yourself. You show up for others better when you feel good. Most importantly, it is extremely soothing and fun.

Here are some ways to incorporate self-care into your day to day basis whether you are busy or not: 

- Stretch your body for 10 minutes
- Journal
- Call a friend/ family member
- Meditate
- Buy a plant
- Play with your pet
- Bubble bath
- Make your favorite meal
- Get a massage
- Get a pedicure
- Retail therapy
- Buy a coffee
